History of the house
Farleigh House has an undeniably rich and interesting history. Dating back to the 18th Century when the Houlton Family occupied the estate it is even mentioned in the Doomsday Book which was completed in 1086.
Now lovingly owned by the Craig family since 2010 and home to professional sports club, Bath Rugby, Farleigh House is a classically beautiful, Grade II listed, English country house standing on 135 acres of secluded land and yet just 15 minutes outside the historic city of Bath.
As we once again open our doors and welcome guests to create unforgettable moments with family, friends and colleagues, we add to the next chapter in this property's rich and interesting history.

Farleigh House is historic. But it’s also alive and bursting with energy all year round. Nothing goes unnoticed and attention to detail is paramount. While the venue is private and intimate, the outlook is international and the vision is grand.

Once again available for private hire, we can host anything from parties and milestone celebrations to intimate dinners, photoshoots, product launches and weddings of any size.
The house and grounds are timeless and elegant but the place is lively and the possibilities are vast. We can't wait to see what you do with the place.

The quintessential English gardens are immaculately maintained by our grounds team whilst the original interior features are professionally and resolutely kept by our housekeepers who know the House inside out.
The team behind the estate have created a welcoming and warm space for you to enjoy. Preparing to perform all week, attention to detail really is second nature to us.
