STYLING IT OUT IN WINTER 2023
As our first wedding season draws to a close and we roll into the colder months we wanted to look back on when it all began. In the February of 2023 we set the stage at Farleigh for our first styled shoot. The aim was to encapsulate the elegant beauty of our venue and to celebrate our personality. An exciting collaboration took shape captured by Venetia Norrington with the artistic touch of House of Bendy for hair and makeup, the floral mastery of Flowers by Passion, the centre piece cake created by Sarah McNally Cakes, the warm glow of candles from Candle Flair, the stylish furniture from Archers Marquees, and the breathtaking wedding dress from The Mews in Clifton, unfolding like a dreamy storybook romance.
CAPTURING THE ESSENCE
Venetia Norrington's lens weaves magic into every frame, effortlessly capturing the energy and the mood of Farleigh House. Venetia is a Bristol-based photographer with a passion for celebrating the human spirit. Her work aims to spontaneously capture off-the-cuff reactions which are visible throughout the shoot. The brief was to capture our blends of timeless elegance with modern flair and energy, which she did brilliantly.
FLORAL WONDERLAND
Flowers by Passion crafted a floral wonderland. They fundamentally work within the seasons and try to weave as many English-grown flowers into each design. The season-led table arrangements looked luxurious against the crisp white tablecloth. Buttonholes were set to make a comeback in 2024 and so showcasing them in our shoot was a must, making sure the groom looked stylish and chic. Flower by Passion’s artistry worked seamlessly with the creative vision for our styled shoot.
THE CAKE
Sarah McNally, a design-led cake studio based in Bath, specialising in buttercream creations, provided the centre piece cake for our shoot. The two-tiered elegant cake used the finest quality ingredients to ensure that the taste was as good as it looks.
CANDLELIT AMBIANCE
Candle Flair added a warm and romantic touch with their exquisite candles. The flames created an intimate ambiance, casting a soft glow across the venue. From tablescapes to hidden nooks, their candles added a touch of magic to every frame.
The styled shoot at Farleigh House was a showcase of our venue and a few of our outstanding, recommended suppliers. Each contributor to the day played a vital role in bringing the creative vision to life. Through Venetia’s lens, the collaborative efforts of House of Bendy, Flowers by Passion, Sarah McNally, Candle Flair, Archers Marquees and The Mews, and the House & Grounds of our estate we are so proud of the results. This magical collaboration serves as a testament to the boundless possibilities that arise when talented vendors come together with the shared desire to create something special.
We are so grateful for the time, energy and passion poured in by everyone to bring this shoot to life.
